A stalwart of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senator Rehman Malik has said that God forbid if anything happened to his
party’s co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari then the government will be responsible for it.
In his statement, Senator Rehman Malik said ” I have been saying since the first day that Asif Zardari
simultaneously is suffering from, cardiac, high-blood pressure and other ailments but despite doctors advice he has not
been shifted to hospital.”
He said that he took notice of not shifting Asif Ali Zardari to hospital as a Chairman of Senate’s committee on
interior on which the government reluctantly shifted the PPP co-chairman when his health deteriorated further.
He said that as per the jail manual the prison officials are bound to obey and implementing medical team
suggestion regarding a prisoner.
Rehman Malik said that Asif Zardari only has allegations against him and he is not a convicted or declared guilty
yet while he claimed that Asif Ali Zardari is a brave man tomorrow on his place something other will not tolerate all
this. The government subjected to cruelty someone so much that tomorrow it could face the same, he added.—INP
