The education authorities in Punjab on Thursday decided to conduct the intermediate and matriculation examination twice in a year.

It means there will be no more supplementary examinations.

The education department has imposed a new examination system with this new academic year that has just begun. The second annual examination will be held in September.

The education department said that all those students who skip the first annual exam will be appearing in the second annual examination, which is going to be held in September.

To a surprise and good news for students, from now onwards supplementary exams will be written on the result card.
