Organisation of Kashmir Coalition leaders Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl and Barrister Abdul Maeeid Tramboo have called upon the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to file a case in the International Court of Justice under genocide crime being committed by the Modi-led Indian regime in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Prof. Shawl and Barrister Tramboo in a letter to the OIC Secretary General, Hissein Ibrahim Taha, welcomed the 48th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) convened by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Islamabad, Pakistan.

Recognising that OIC has always advocated voice of wisdom through Centre for Dialogue, Peace and Understanding but regrettably India, the leadership expressed, continue to formulate and execute extremist policies in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

They highlighted the atrocities being encountered by ordinary Kashmiris in their day-to-day life including lockdowns particularly from 5 August 2019 when the Indian government abrogated the Articles 35A and 370 which gave special status to Jammu & Kashmir recognising the state being disputed pursuant to the UN mandate. —APP
