Large Scale Manufacturing Industries (LSMI) production grew by 7.6 percent during the first seven months of the current fiscal year (2021-22) as compared to the corresponding period of last year, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics reported Friday.
The LSMI Quantum Index Number was recorded at 120 points during July-Jan (2021-22) against 111.5 points during July-Jan (2020-21), showing growth of 7.6pc, according to latest PBS data. The highest increase of 9.7pc during July-January (2021-22) was witnessed in the indices monitored by the Provincial Board of Statistics, followed by 6.9pc increase in indices monitored by Ministry of Industries and 0.5pc increase in the products.—APP
