Kashmiri students have expressed apprehensions that the provoking video clips emerging from different theatres screening the controversial movie ‘The Kashmir Files’ could lead to physical assaults on the Kashmiri students in different parts of India by Hindutva terrorists.
Spokesman for Jammu and Kashmir Students Association, Nasir Khuehami, who studies in a Dehradun college in the Indian state of Uttarakhand, in a statement said, “The onus of any unprovoked physical and verbal attack on Kashmiri students will lie on the director of the film.”
Since the release of the movie, attempts are being made on social media to build an atmosphere of distrust and discord, he added. The student association unequivocally condemned such attempts, he said.—INP
