Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid asked the officials to expedite work on finalization of PC 1 of Oncology Centers in nine divisional centers during a meeting at the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education here on Monday.
Present in the meeting were Secretary Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Ahmed Javed Qazi, Special Secretaries Mohammad Ajmal Bhatti, and Dr. Asif Tufail, Professor Mehmud Shaukat, Additional Secretary Dr Hafiz Shahid Latif, Professor Javed Chaudhry Dr. Irfan, Dr. Sharifur Rehman, Dr. Kausar Bano and many oncologists.
The Health Minister reviewed measures taken for facilities and services for cancer patients and Special Secretary Ajmal Bhatti apprised the Minister of steps taken. Experts from public and private hospitals shared their suggestions.
The Health Minister said, “It is extremely important to devise an expansive system for cancer patients. The department has been asked to expedite pc1 stage as early as possible for centers in divisions of Punjab.
