Major General Muhammad Saad Khattak, head of Pakistan Aam Aadmi Movement (PAAM), a new political party emerging on the political horizon, has said that the country is in a crisis situation due to a variety of domestic as well as international factors.

Addressing a crowded press conference at the National Press Club Islamabad, he said that although there are differences with the present government on many issues including governance, inflation and violation of merit etc but Pakistan Aam Admi Movement is against the no-confidence motion tabled by opposition parties against Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said that the Opposition wants to re-impose traditional hereditary politics on the country once again which cannot be supported.

Traditional politicians are using the opportunity employing old tactics to gain a foothold against emerging alternative political platforms. He said that bringing a No-Confidence Motion at a time when the OIC is about to convene its Foreign Ministers summit in Islamabad is tantamount to making a mockery of Pakistan in the world particularly in the Islamic world. He said that his party is opposing the No-Confidence Motion because, in the evolving global and regional developments, there is a dire need for internal political stability so that the country can play its effective role at the global and regional levels.

He said that the No-Confidence Motion seems to be part of the global agenda to destabilise Pakistan. The people have already rejected the leadership of the opposition who are now trying to fool the people resorting to manipulation through buying and selling of parliamentarians.

General Saad Khattak said that while we are opposing the No-Confidence Motion, it does not mean that we are supporting the present government and its domestic policies. We believe that the ruling party was elected by the people as an alternative platform but unfortunately this party also gave preference to the traditional style of politics and instead of eradicating the hereditary system from the country, it flourished it even within its own ranks, he said.

He said that Pakistan Aam Aadmi Movement will enter the field with full force in the next elections and strive to bring forward common people from all over the country. Pakistan Aam Admi Movement, true to its fundamental narrative will struggle to complete the unfinished agenda of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah when given the opportunity.
