A man was crushed to death when a truck driver crushed him under his dumper near the Tipu Sultan Bridge in the city. The dumper also overturned due to over speeding.
The police rushed to the scene and shifted the body to JPMC. The victim could not be identified till filing of this report.
Meanwhile, a woman was injured in a mysterious incident of firing inside a house in New Karachi. The woman was identified as 40-year-old Saima, wife of Qazi Abdul Nadeem. The incident took place when a bullet coming from an unknown direction hit the woman’s back.
