Exchange rate of Pakistani rupee strengthened by 05 paisas against the United States dollar in the interbank trading on Tuesday and closed at Rs 177.41 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 177.46.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of US dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 177.3 and Rs 178.9 respectively.
Similarly, the price of the euro was appreciated by 20 paisas and closed at Rs 198.75 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 198.55.
The Japanese Yen gained one paisa to close at Rs 1.54, whereas an increase of 63 paisas was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs 238.12 as compared to its last closing of Rs 237.54. The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal decreased by 02 paisas to close at Rs 48.30 and Rs 47.28 respectively.—APP
