The outgoing Peshawar-based Iranian Consul- General (CG), Mohammad Baqir Beigi has said that he had played effective role in the promotion of trade relations between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Iran. He was speaking in his farewell meeting with the president, Abasin Column Writers’ Association, Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi and his cabinet.
The outgoing Iranian Consul General said that he was always anxious for development of strong relations between the traders and industrialists of both neighboring countries and bringing Iranian investors for making investment in Peshawar. He termed his four-year stay in the city as memorable stint of his diplomatic career and his doors in Iran will always remained open for Pakistanis in general and particularly for people, traders, industrialists, journalists and columnists of Peshawar.
Speaking on the occasion, president, Abasin Column Writers’ Association, Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi said that Pakistan and Iran are not only enjoying brotherly relations on religious bases rather both countries are also close to each other on culture basis.
