Parliamentarians from Rawalpindi have paid rich tributes to Chief Minister Punjab SardarUsmanBuzdar for initiating massive development work and welcomed the establishment of the Kohsar Development Authority.
They also congratulated him on the launch of health cards for 73% of the population of Punjab as this distinctive scheme has provided free medical treatment to more than three million families in Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock and Chakwal districts.
Meanwhile, public and private hospitals have a capacity of up to 7,000 beds for free treatment in Rawalpindi.
Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad said record development projects initiated by CM UsmanBuzdar for the welfare of the people are welcome. I consider it necessary to launch a safe city project in Rawalpindi to ensure law and order, he added.
The traffic congestion during cricket matches could also be reduced by constructing a hotel near to the stadium, he suggested.
Provincial Minister Raja Basharat declared that the chief minister had won the hearts of the people by giving development projects worth billions of rupees. Provincial Minister YawarBukhari welcomed the arrival of CM UsmanBuzdar to solve the problems of Rawalpindiites.
Farah Agha MPA thanked the CM for issuing the health cards while other women parliamentarians mentioned that Rawalpindi had not received such a huge development package since the formation of Pakistan.
CM UsmanBuzdar said that Rawalpindi was the stronghold of PTI while he would continue to resolve the problems of the people as a matter of priority. I am also personally monitoring development work in the province, he added.
