Digitalizing system for better drugs management underway

Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Imran Sikandar Baloch has said that the system is being digitalized for better drugs management and procurement process.

This was stated by him while chairing the 238th meeting of Provincial Quality Control Board Punjab PQCB. During meeting, 153 drugs related cases, including 106 cases regarding testing and 47 cases of appeal were proceeded. Among these 47 cases, 13 were approved to send to NIH for further proceedings. Moreover 12 were sent to Drug Courts and last warning was issued to 71 cases.

Additional Secretary Drugs Control Muhammad Sohail, Chief Drugs Controller Punjab Azhar Jamal Saleemi, Secretary PQCB Shaheen Iqbal Prof. Dr Mahmood, Prof. Dr Muhammad Jamshaid, Prof Dr Muhammad Aziz, Dr Imran Ashraf or Dr Muneeb Ashraf were present in the meeting.

Secretary P&SHD Imran Sikandar Baloch said, “We are continuously monitoring the supply of Panadol throughout the Punjab Province. We are also making sure the provision of facilities for drugs manufacturing units, pharmaceuticals and other stake holder involved in this business.
