Ambassador Brigadier General (Retd) Sakib Foric hosted a warm reception in the federal capital to mark celebration of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Quite a large number of guests graced the event. They included ambassadors stationed in Islamabad, senior civil and military officials of Pakistan and prominent people from various segments of the local socieyt. Governor KP Shah Farman was the guest of honour while the state minister climate change, Ms. Zartaj Gul was the chief guest.
The ambassador of Bosnia Herzegovina in his address to the reception highlighted the warmth, cordiality and affection that characterise brotherly relations between the governments and peopel’s of Pakistan and his country. He recalled that Pakistan stood by the Bosnian people during the most critical period of their history. Pakistan was prompt in providing much needed help to the Bosnian people. After Bosnian and Herzegovina Ambassador Brig. Gen (Retd) Sakib Foric said his country is all thanks for Pakistan’s consistent support and looks forward to expanding bilateral cooperation.
In her speech, State Minister Zartaj Gul said relation between Pakistan and Bosnia-Herzegovina would continue growing to new heights. She said there is vast scope of boosting trade and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Pakistan will welcome all initiatives for promotion of ties with the brotherly country Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bosnia and Herzegovina emerged as a sovereign country from the ashes of erstwhile Yugoslavin 25 year ago. The people of Bosnia and Herzegovina had to pass through tragic circumstances before attaining independence. The brave people of this country remained standfast during their days of strife. They are resolute to move forward in their quest for development and well-being of their country.
