MOL Pakistan announces Rs1.6m scholarships for QAU students

MOL Pakistan Oil and Gas Company has announced scholarships worth Rs1.6 million for the students of the Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU).

The step is taken under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative of the company. The scholarships amount was handed over to Vice Chancellor QAU Prof. Dr Muhammad Ali during a ceremony at the university premises.

Dr Syed Kaleem Imam, Federal Secretary Narcotics Control Division presented the scholarship money to the university VC on behalf of MOL Pakistan.

While speaking on the occasion, Syed Kaleem Imam said, “Students are our core asset as they are carrying the huge burden of brighter Pakistan on their shoulders. Any initiative which enhances their capacity and capabilities is highly appreciable, which is why I’m thankful to the management of MOL Pakistan.

Prof. Dr Muhammad Ali while thanking Ali Murtaza Abbas of MOL Group said, “Our students at Quaid-i-Azam University are doing their best to meet emerging challenges and global competition. We are quite hopeful that the scholarship initiative by the MOL Pakistan will further the capacities of our students to fully equip themselves with the modern-day technologies”.

In his message, Ali Murtaza Abbas, MOL Group Regional Vice President for Middle East, Africa and Pakistan said, MOL Group is a responsible corporate entity which believes in betterment of local communities wherever it operates globally. Since its inception in 2001, MOL Pakistan has carried a number of successful CSR initiatives in various regions of Pakistan which have enhanced the overall capacities at the individual level.
