ISLAMABAD – Top commander and spokesperson of outlawed militant group Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Khali Balti alias Muhammad Khorasani killed in Afghan bordering province Nangarhar.

The terrorist was most wanted to Pakistani forces in several cases related to attack on security forces and other terror-related incidents.

He had formed a terrorist hub in Miranshah but after the successful operation “Zarb-e-Azb”, he fled to Afghanistan.

Reports said that Khorasani was planning attacks against Pakistan with Noor Wali Mehsood.

Last year, Pakistan had approached the Afghan Taliban after they regained power in the war-torn country, with several demands, including action against TTP. Islamabad also shared a list of most wanted TTP terrorists with them.

But, the Afghan Taliban offered to facilitate a peace deal between the Pakistani government and outlawed TTP. Subsequently, Pakistan and TTP reached a ceasefire agreement in November 2021.

Later, TTP withdrew from the agreement unilaterally, announcing launching attacks against Pakistan.
