Condolence reference in memory of renowned poet Sarfraz Shahid was organized at Punjab Council of Arts.
The reference was presided over by Naheed Man-zoor while Mehboob Zafar performed the duties of anchor. Addressing the participants, Naheed Man-zoor said that Sarfraz Shahid was a poet with a sense of humor. His poetry will always bear witness to the fact that he considered politeness and admira-tion as an essential part of poetry. She said that he was also fluent in Urdu, Arabic and Persian litera-ture.
Speaking on the occasion, the special guest of con-dolence reference, Dr. Ehsan Akbar said that Sarfraz Shahid introduced new dimensions in comic poetry, and his creations are a valuable asset of Urdu litera-ture. He said that Sarfraz Shahid’s services for litera-ture would be remembered forever.
