There was a chaos and complete indiscipline at Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) workers’ convention in Abbottabad on Friday, which had been convened to sort out the intra-party differences ahead of the next round of local bodies’ (LBs) elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).

The situation turned nasty when Defence Minister and PTI KP President Pervez Khattak not only scolded the party workers gathered on the occasion, but also called the people of Abbottabad ‘rude’ and ‘ill-mannered’.

Khattak also had an altercation with the journalists covering the event.

The situation came to such a pass that even the PTI workers started shouting, ‘Go Khattak, Go’, prompting KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan to leave the function without finishing his speech.
