Artificial inflation has declined significantly due to effective measures adopted by the district administration and price magistrates are taking strict action against profiteers and hoarding in the district.
This was stated by the Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Rana Salem Ahmad Khan while talking to newsmen during the visit of vegetable and fruit market, on Friday.
He said that government was starting Ehssas Ration Programme worth Rs. 120 billion for providing subsidiary essential commodities to 20 million people having less than Rs.50000/= per month income.
He said that one thousand per m0nth subsidy would be given for purchasing flour, ghee and pulses from registered shops under Ehssas Ration Programmee.
Replaying to a question, he said that 20 retailers/shops were registered in Tehsil Hafizabad and Tehsil Pindi Bhattian each. Earlier, DC reviewed auctioning process of vegetables and fruits and checked quality and prices of the vegetables and fruits in the market. Meanwhile, Deputy Director Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mall Hafizabad Tasleem Zahora has said that imparting vocational training is need of the hour so that not only they can enable to earn own livelihood in respectable manners but also to play their vital role in progress and prosperity of the country.
