Following a policy of zero tolerance against corruption, highhanded,and misconduct Federal Board of Revenue (HQs) Islamabad has suspended three officials posted in Collectorate of Customs Enforcement, Lahore.
This evening, the top leadership of FBR had received an undeniable information based on audio-visual evidence from reliable sources that Mr.Imran Fareed, Inspector (BS-16), Mr. Muhammad Saeed Sabir, Inspector (BS-16) & Mr.Nasir Zaman Raika, Superintendent (BS-16) were co- accomplices in undesirable practices, unbecoming of officials holding public office. The competent authority immediately ordered an inquiry against the accused officials.
Initial probe found the evidence credible enough to proceed against the accused officials. Therefore, the competent authority by exercising powers conferred under Rule 5(1) of the Civil Servants(Efficiency and Discipline) Rules 2020, has placed the above three officials under suspension, initially for a period of 120 days.
Regular proceedings have been ordered against the accused officials which will be conducted under the relevant rules to complete the due process of law and afford the accused officials an opportunity of being heard. Exampalry punishment will be awarded to the accused if proven guilty of the charges.
