Over the last four decade Dr Altamash and Associates have been known as provider of High Quality Dental Care. In 1990s, he planned to extend the facility to whole Pakistan by establishing Altamash Dental College, Karachi and graduating young highly trained and skilled Dental Surgeon. These Dental Surgeons over the years have spread to whole world and providing quality dental care to different strata of society world over.
Yet there was strong need for providing same level of quality care in other disciplines of Medicine and Surgery. In pursuance of the his mission of making available quality health care, Dr. Altamash and Associates in 2010 decided to broaden their operation by establishing a 200 beds Altamash General Hospital in posh locality of Clifton Block 1, Karachi. The Hospital is now complete and operational.
The Hospital architect is built as patient friendly and easy accessibility to all departments at different floors. Beside the majestic façade of the 10 storey building, the interior has been organized to give cool, calm ambience and serene environmental feel. The receptions centrally located at each floor provide guidance and required information by welcoming and cordial staff. The waiting areas are engaging, imperturbable and comfortable. Same is for the patients registration process, which is quick, helpful and friendly.
The Medical and Diagnostic facilities are spread currently on Ground plus 5 floors. On Ground Floor is the main reception and waiting areas. Also there is 24 hours fully functional 11 beds ER ready to receive all sorts of medical emergencies, triage them and provide them immediate treatment, resuscitate them if required. On stabilization, patients are shifted to respective wards, ICU or to the Operating Rooms. Also available on the ground floor, is the radiological services including latest high powered X-Machine with DR open round the clock, 32 slice Computerized Tomography (CT Scan); Open Bore Magnetic Resonance (MRI) (Good for claustrophobic and handicapped patients) and Ultrasound Facility.
Ultrasound diagnostics are conducted and managed by city’s renowned Sonologist. An Ultramodern Dental Unit equipped with OPG Machine and 24 hours open Pharmacy having wide range of genuine pharmaceutical items available are also on ground floor. Adjacent to the Pharmacy is small tuck shop to cater for immediate needs of waiting patients and attendants. The First Floor is dedicated to providing specialized consultation by some of the most eminent Clinicians of the city. The floor can cater for accommodating 16 Consultants at one time for the convenience of the patients and reducing their waiting time. Also on first floor is Out Patient Cardiac Centre with Echocardiography and ETT, Endoscopy Suite, Physiotherapy and separate Ultrasound unit. A café Teria on the same floor caters for providing safe, hygienic and affordable food and snacks to visitors and patients.
On Second floor of the Hospital we have establish comfortable and pleasant looking air-conditioned general wards separate for male and female patients. Economically charged without compromising on quality of health care provision, special care has been taken to address norms and values of our society. Third Floor is for patients who can afford medical treatment in privacy. There are 13 Spacious, Stylish and Elegant Private room complete with LED TVs, WiFi and Refrigerator. There are 3 Cozy and Tranquil Semi-Private Rooms for twin sharing basis.
