Speakers at a conference stressed need for immediate action to manage climate crisis. “There is a need for an immediate action to manage climate crisis.

We must ensure that climate decisions are based on best possible scientific knowledge, analysis, advice, today and in the future’, they expressed these views at a grand congregation titled “COP26: Conference on Climate Change was hosted by Rotary Club of Karachi Educationists in collaboration with Pakistan Academic Consortium (PAC).

The event gathered notable representatives from academia, climate change, social activists, community leaders and students from different schools and colleges.

The speakers emphasized that climate change might displace millions of people across globe as scientists worry that we may be pushing the planet towards ecological collapse as the risk of climate change is growing with every ton of greenhouse gases emitted into the atmosphere.

While sharing interesting presentations, students reiterated the need for substantial action to limit the magnitude of climate change both in developed and under developed parts of the world.

‘There is a need for an immediate action to manage climate crisis. We must ensure that climate decisions are based on best possible scientific knowledge, analysis, advice, today and in the future’, said PAC Founder & President RCK Educationists Nasir R. Zaidi. The key note speaker was Lubna Panjwani, Assistant Governor, Rotary International Dist.

3271 while other eminent speakers included Rizwan Jaffar (Chairman Youth Parliament), Naeem Qureshi (President – National Forum for Environment & Health), Ainee Shehzad (Principal – Habib Public School), Humair Anwar (Broadcast Journalist) and Rida F. Siddiqui (District Interact Representative), Maliha Abbas Zaidi (Founder – National Dialogue on Climate Change), Darashikoh Hashmi (Change Activist).
