Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next 24 hours, metrological department on Thursday forecast.

However, smog and fog is likely to prevail in plain areas of Punjab during night and morning hours. Temperature of some major cities recorded this morning:

Islamabad six degree centigrade, Lahore thirteen, Karachi nineteen, Peshawar seven, Quetta and Murree three, Gilgit minus two and Muzaffarabad four degree centigrade.
Local Met Office on Thursday forecast dry weather for city for next 24 hours.

The highest temperature recorded during last 24 hours was 25 °C and the lowest remained 11 °C. Dry weather has also been forecast for rest of the region.—INP
