JOHANNESBURG – A Pakistani national was killed after he was shot in the head by an unknown man on a busy road in a suburb area of Johannesburg, South Africa, it emerged on Thursday.
The video of the incident was shared by a social media user Yusuf Abramjee on Twitter and went viral, sparking a strong public reaction.
The video begins with the man walking across a street corner towards a shop when a gunman shoots the victim from behind.

The Pakistani national, whose identity is yet to be known, died on the spot. The shooter can be seen waiting for a second to confirm whether the victim is dead or not.
A voice in the video’s background can be heard yelling “he shot him in the head, point-blank”.
The victim had recently gotten bail in a case relating to a kidnapping that had occurred in October. Police have launched an investigation into the murder case.
