Pak reports 9 more corona deaths,176 new cases

Pakistan reported nine more coronavirus deaths and 176 new cases that emerged during the last 24 hours, showed the data released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Monday morning.

According to the statistics released by NCOC, after the addition of nine new deaths, the toll has now surged to 28,718, which represents a ratio of 2.2 percent.

The positivity ratio of the coronavirus cases in Pakistan was 0.59 percent, as 176 new coronavirus cases emerged in the last 24 hours after conducting 29,530 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 1,284,365.

The number of active cases in the country is 13,738 with 923 patients in critical condition.
There were 148 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 1,241,909 with a 96.7% recovery rate.

Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 64 new cases in the last 24 hours, taking the provincial tally to 443,014 with 5,163 active cases. In Punjab, 3 more patients died of coronavirus as the death toll reached 13,019. With 25 new recoveries, 424,832 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.

Sindh has recorded 37 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 475,285 with 7,446 active cases. With no new death related to the deadly disease, the death toll in Sindh remained 7,621. With 29 new recoveries, 460,218 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 33 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 179,961 with 751 active cases. The province reported 5 new virus-related deaths as the death toll reached 5,838. With 44 new recoveries, 173,372 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Balochistan has recorded no new cases during the last 24 hours as the tally remains at 33,479 with 57 active cases.

The province reported no new death as the death toll remains at 359. With 14 new recoveries, 33,063 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Islamabad has recorded 35 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 107,661 with 274 active cases. With one new death reported in the Federal Capital, the death toll reached 953. With 29 new recoveries, the number of recovered patients is 106,434 in the federal capital so far. INP
