INDIA has never accepted the creation of Pakistan. This is the reason that their leaders keep lamenting partition of the sub-continent and still harbour the idea of undoing it.
The venom was once again spitted by RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat the other day who stated that his country’s sufferings at the time of 1947 partition will only go away when it is undone.
This is not the first time that the RSS has publicly resorted to such a rhetoric that clearly indicates their expansionist and hegemonic designs.
Our Foreign Office was quick to condemn the statement of Mohan describing it a delusional thinking and advising the Indian leadership to accept the established realities and learn to follow imperatives of peaceful co-existence.
As long as this negative mindset persists in India, one cannot expect any improvement in relations between Pakistan and India.
It was after long struggle and rendering immense sacrifices that Muslims of the sub-continent secured a separate homeland for themselves under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
What is happening with Muslims in India and the way they are being marginalised and subjected to persecution has proved once again Quaid’s two nation theory correct.
For the protection of sovereignty and integrity, the people of Pakistan and its armed forces are fully prepared to thwart enemy’s evil intentions. The BJP’s leadership must not harbour any misconception and stop daydreaming.
It will be better for Indian leadership to ensure equal rights to their people and better focus on addressing their backwardness and poverty.
