Voice of Punjab organized an interactive workshop on the topic of IT Economy and Opportunities for Youth at Alhamra, Mall Road.
The workshop was well attended by youth in large number. Enem Ali Abbas, Project Director, Voice of Punjab welcomed the participants.
He said, “VOP is collaborating with public and private sector universities, civil society organizations and NGOs working for youth development to raise awareness among youth, brush up their skills, and prepare them for the corporate world, for their professional lives.”
VOP shall also be starting study tours, internship programs, student exchange programs and other competitions soon for the youth of Punjab, he added.
We set up this platform for the people of Punjab, for the youth of Punjab, for this land that has raised eminent scholars, scientists, sportspeople, educationists, artists, singers and painters.
There’s a long list of talented people who represented Punjab and there’s a bigger lot available, they are the uncut diamonds.
They are not treated, they are not shaped yet. But they are ready to be polished, ready to be taken care of. We established Voice of Punjab for those uncut diamonds, Enem expressed.
“I am really grateful to the volunteers we have all over Punjab, they are putting in their best with whatever little capacity they have, for the cause”, he said. When we presented this idea to HasaanKhawarsb, Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information & Special Initiatives, he was kind enough to endorse it.
He himself shares the similar vision, he can relate to the problems, issues and innovative solutions that we have brought forward.
Raja Jahangir Anwersb, Secretary Information & Culture and his team fully supported us. And most importantly, with the approval of Chief Minister Punjab SardarUsman Ahmad Khan Buzdarsb, this dream became a reality, Enem concluded.—PR
