Creativity, innovation take shapes at UoG SADA show

The School of Art, Design and Architecture (SADA) of the University of Gujrat (UoG) organized its Grad Show 2021 where creativity and innovation took myriads of shapes in the displayed works of fine art, handicrafts and industrial models made by students at Hafiz Hayat Campus.

The four-day exhibition at the Allama Iqbal Hall was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Shabbar Atiq.

More than 100 works of art and craft, designs, innovative industrial gadgets, town-planning as well as eco-friendly energy and power generation models and a host of similar other projects were put on display at the show.

Prof. Dr Shabbar Atiq said that young students are a valuable human resource of Pakistan due to their immense talent, abilities and passion to learn and create.

“The real purpose of education and learning is to enhance and make use of the various human skills and abilities. Our students have done wonderfully well in their bid to highlight the core objective of education through their works and projects of remarkable significance.

Earlier, Director SADA Muhammad Asif Sharif along with his faculty welcomed all the guests at the exhibition. Pro VC Prof. Dr Muhammad Faheem Malik, Dean Faculty of Science Prof. Dr Muhammad Mushahid Anwar, chairpersons of various departments, senior members of faculty and administration attended the inauguration.

Dr Shabbar Atiq, himself an engineer, visited each stall and showed a keen interest in the industrial gadgets and models of various projects displayed at the exhibition, providing the students with valuable suggestions.
