A special anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday indicted five accused, including the main accused Peter Paul in the Johar Town Bomb Blast case.
According to a private TV channel, the special court heard the case in the Kot Lakhpat Jail due to security reasons and recorded testimony of nine witnesses.
Judge Arshad Hussain Bhatta conducted the hearing and Prosecutor Abdul Rauf Wattoo presented the witnesses against the accused.
The court summoned other witnesses to record their testimony and adjourned further hearing till November 23, 2021.
The CTD registered the Johar Town Bomb Blast case against five accused including Peter Paul, Eid Gul, Ayesha Gul and Sajjad.
On 23 June 2021 morning, a car bomb blast took place in Johar Town, Lahore in which Four people including a child were killed and 14 injured.
Police believed that the target was the house, which is believed to be where Hafiz Saeed, Co-founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba and the chief of Jama’at-ud-Da’wah.
An estimated 30kg of explosives were used in a car bomb and several of the policemen guarding Hafiz Saeed’s house were seriously wounded in the powerful explosion.
