Annual Parents day and prize distribution ceremony of Army Burn Hall Girls college was held here on Saturday.
Commandant Pakistan Militery Academy Kakul Major General Omer Ahmed Bokhari, who is also the deputy Chairman Board of Governors Army Burn Hall institutions was the chief guest at the occasion.
This annual event was organized every year to award high achievers of the year and review overall performance of the college.
It also provides an opportunity to interact with the parents of students, Ex Principals, Faculty members and alumni.
The college gives festive look which fascinate students, parents and guests. Variety of shows and performances of the Hallian added colour to the ceremony and amused the audience eliciting their great applause.
Chief Guest Major General Omer Ahmed Bokhari while addressing at the occasion highlighted the role of this great institution in nation building and development of the country. He emphasized on students not to fall prey to be energetic.
They must continue to improve and excel, keeping their targets ideals high. He congratulated all students who won awards and medals and extended his facilitation to the Principal, Brig. Dr Muhammad Naveed and faculty of Army Burn Hall girls college for the constructive and creative changes carried out for the uplifting of the college in general and academic standard in particular.
Earlier in his address, Principal Brig. Dr. Muhammad Naveed thanked the chief guest and parents for coming from far flung areas to attend the function.
He focused upon the training activities carried out in the college round the year and highlighted the achievements of the Hallians in the filed of academics, sports and social activities in the current Year.
He said that Burn Hall Girls college is known for quality education and pursuing the same goal with dedicatin & devition this institution has started as junior school in 1948 has grown into post graduate college and expected to excel in future.
He told that college has shown remarkable performance in academic activities despite covid-19. At matric level college got 100 % result and got four top positions in federal Board with highest marks 1094 out of 1100.
Similarly in Intermediate level in which total of 122 students appeared and produced 100% results.
The highest marks are 1082 out of 1100 with 98.36%. He further told that 57 students got A+ Grades whereas 32 students secured above 1000 marks.
In university results too, Principal informed Burn Hall Girls students broke all previous records. Ume Roman achieved 1st Position in MA English Final in the University of Peshawar.
