LAHORE – Pakistan’s legend actor Suhail Asghar died on Saturday after a prolonged illness, confirmed his family members.
Asghar’s wife said he was suffering from illness for more than a year, adding that his health situation deteriorated following gastric surgery.
The funeral prayers of the veteran actor will be offered on Sunday in Bahria Town, Karachi.
Asghar was born in Lahore where he completed his education. He then joined Radio Pakistan and from 1978 to 1988 worked as a radio jockey. Later, he started his acting career from theatre. He also acted in dramas such as Laag, Piyas, Chand Girhan and Kajal Ghar.
He made his debut on the silver screen in 2003 with the film Murad. He also performed Mah e Noor film in 2004.
