Secretary Federal Ombudsman Secretariat Lt. Rtd. Aijaz Ahmad Khan visited the Federal Ombudsman’s Secretariat Regional office Karachi on Friday 12 November, 2021.
The Secretary said the Federal ombudsman’s Secretariat Karachi office is providing speedy and free of cost relief to the common people on their complaints against federal government organisations. He said that the Karachi office has issued fruitful findings and disposed of all complaints within the statutory period of (60) days.
He added that 90% of complaints received by the Karachi office have been implemented. Expressing his satisfaction over the briefing given to him by the officers of the Regional Office, Karachi, the Secretary stressed upon the public awareness campaign and said that his visit aimed to review the performance of the Regional Office Karachi, which, according to him, was up to the mark.
On the occasion, Syed Anwar Haider, Senior Advisor (Incharge) Regional Office Karachi was also present. In his briefing to the Secretary he said that Regional Office Karachi has disposed of 12167 complainants from January 2021 to October,2021.
He further added that 4070 findings have been implemented out of the total pendency of 4608 however, remaining 538 findings will be implemented shortly.
