The cryptocurrency market turned to profit-taking activity on Wednesday, a day after both bitcoin and ether setting all-time new highs, with the market capitalisation shedding 0.7 percent to reach $3.06 trillion as of 1220 hours GMT.
The largest cryptocurrency bitcoin, which hit an all-time high of $68,382 on Tuesday, shed 0.94 percent to reach $66,815. With this decrease in price, the market capitalisation of the biggest cryptocurrency has reached 1.258 trillion.
Ether, the world’s second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalisation that set a new high of $4,823.95 per coin a day earlier, shed 0.50 percent to reach $4,746. —TLTP
