Azra Pechuho meets BCSHC’s chief and CEO SHCC

Anisul Hassnain Mousavi, Chairman and the Board of Commissioners Sindh HealthCare Commission (SHCC), along with the CEO and Executive Team of Directors met with The Provincial Minister of Sindh for Health and Population Welfare, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho .

The purpose of the meeting was to apprise the minister about the activities being carried out by SHCC, to control Quackery and improve Registration and Licensing of Healthcare Establishments in private and public sectors.

CEO – SHCC Dr. Ahson Qavi Siddiqi, presented the last three years’ achievements of the Commission and he emphasized the Leadership role of the Executive Team and the assurance to fill the vacant positions within the next 2-3 months with the help of IBA Sukkur.

He further stated that the pace of activity will increase significantly to achieve the overall mission and goals of SHCC, that are provision of Quality Healthcare and eradication of quackery.

The CEO further described that it is of paramount importance to strengthen IT Infrastructure, Legal Support and availability of transport for effective mobility of the field staff.

The Minister emphasized that SHCC, by virtue of the Sindh Assembly Act, is an autonomous body and should take all administrative, strategic and financial decisions independently.

The Meeting ended on a positive note and the Minister appreciated the efforts of the newly inducted team under the guidance of the Chairman and the Board of Commissioners and hoped that with the filling of vacant positions, strengthening of the legal structure and availability of mobility resources, the SHCC team’s working would improve further to fulfill the responsibilities to the public.
