Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister and Hasaan Khawar on Sunday declared that the Election Commission will itself take action against those responsible for irregularities in by-election to NA-75 Daska while the government will also take action against those whose names are in the report.
“Rigging complaints can only be eradicated through electoral reforms, but the opposition is in the habit of rigging, that’s why it is afraid of electoral reforms.”
These views were expressed by SACM Hasaan Khawar in response to PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi’s press conference.
He said that comprehensive electoral reforms are the main agenda of PTI from the very first day.
Hasaan Khawar further stated if the opposition wants to do politics and protest on the streets then it should resign and sit at home instead of clinging to positions in parliament. He said that the whole world is facing economic difficulties nowadays.
The 20 years old inflation record in Canada, 12 years in the United States, 9 years in England and 26 years record of inflation in China has been broke, but unlike the Pakistani opposition, no one in these countries has left democracy and advocated unconstitutional and undemocratic measures.
Hasaan Khawar said that the government is introducing a Food Support Programme in order to redress the grievances of public. The programme will also benefit the grocery stores.
He said that the ex-refinery price of petrol has been increased by Rs11 but the government by bearing the loss and transferred the burden of only Rs8 per litre on the public.
Hasaan Khawar said that for the first time in the last 70 years, Pakistan’s exports increased, we are ahead of the world in economic development, our large scale manufacturing, reserves and remittances have substantially increased.
Talking about the price of sugar, he said that people should use the available sugar at Rs. 90 per kg and support the government against the illegitimate profiteer sugar mills.
The price of local sugar has come down adequately due to indiscriminate action against the sugar mafia launched on the strict instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.
He said that the deliberate delay in crushing by Sindh government shows that intentions of “Saien Sarkar” is pure.
Meanwhile, the SACM said that it has been proved that the opposition is worried about their ouster from power and not for the public problems.
If PML-N is aware and can feel the problems of the people, it would have condemned the Sindh government.
