ISLAMABAD – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Monday launched ‘FM Portal’ to facilitate and provide better services to overseas Pakistanis.

The online platform has been launched across 114 Missions serving overseas Pakistani’s from 187 countries.

The app has been launched in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan. It will strengthen the bond between Pakistani diaspora and Missions through feedback/complaints with quick turnaround.

Speaking on the occasion, Qureshi asked Pakistani envoys to enhance their reach out to overseas community with focus on improving the country’s image and addressing their genuine problems.

He highlighted that millions of Pakistanis are living abroad especially in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Britain, and it is not humanly possible to physically access everybody.

He however, said that the digital technology has made things easier and the envoys can use the technology to reach out to them.

Shah Mahmood Qureshi termed overseas Pakistanis as precious assets and their remittances are more than country’ exports.
