The unveiling ceremony of Belt and Road Engineering Research Center for Tropical Arid Non-wood Forest and The First science and technology exchange event of China-Pakistan Tropical Arid Non-wood Forest were held online and offline in Gwadar and Changsha China, simultaneously.
According to Gwadar Pro, this exchange event aims to cultivate economic plants, which combine ecological, economic and social benefits, so as to improve the business environment and people’s wellbeing.
This meeting is sponsored by the Chinese Society of Forestry (CSF), and co-organized by Central South University of Forestry and Technology (CSUFT), China, China Overseas Ports Holding Company (COPHC) and Yulin Holding, China.
This meeting attracted participants from the two nations’ government departments, industrial societies, universities and research institutes and enterprises, including the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Karachi, University of Karachi, Indus University and Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University, China.
Chen Xingliang, vice chairman of CSF, Yan Wende, vice-chancellor of CSUFT, Guo Chunshui, Economic and Commercial Counsellor, Chinese Consulate in Karachi, Dostain Jamali, the Secretary of Ministry of Forest and Wildlife of Baluchistan Government, and Hu Huamin, chairman of Yulin agreed on enhancing agriculture and forestry building is an important part of the high-quality development of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
It is of great significance for the sustainable development of regional economy to carry out the research and promotion of Tropical Arid Non-wood Forest.
