The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Wednesday observed Kashmir Black Day to condemn atrocities of India on innocent Kashmiris and expressed solidarity with the people of India illegally Occupied Kashmir.
A rally was taken out from Chief Minister Secretariat led by the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan which culminated at Governor’s House Peshawar.
Provincial cabinet members Shaukat Yousafzai, Taimur Saleem Jhagra, Fazal Shakoor Khan, Arif Ahmad Zai, political figures from occupied Kashmir, government officials and civil society members participated in the rally
Participants of the rally were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the barbarism and oppression of India on the Kashmiris.
The chief minister, on the occasion, talking to media persons said that 27th October, 1947 was one of the darkest days of human history which marks the beginning of Indian forces brutalities and atrocities in Jammu and Kashmir. The Kashmiri people have been victims of Indian state terrorism for the last seven decades.
During this period, fascist India has resorted to extreme cruelty to deprive the Kashmiri people of their right to self-determination.
He said that the Kashmiri people were facing the worst state terrorism and the worst lockdown by India.
Mahmood khan said that Pakistani public and government fully support the Kashmiri’s freedom struggle and would continue its moral and diplomatic support at every front.
Paying tribute to the struggle of the Kashmiri people, the Chief Minister said that Kashmiri people were brave, despite the atrocities and oppression of Indian forces they were not bowing down In front of them.
He called upon the United Nations and other human rights organizations to take notice of Indian atrocities on innocent Kashmiris.
The Chief Minister said that Kashmiri people must be given the right to live as they wish, Pakistani people and government stand by Kashmiri brothers and sisters and the day is not far when the sun of independence would rise in Kashmir.
