The Metro Bus service and Orange Line Train service in Lahore have fully resumed after remaining suspended for five days amid protest by a banned outfit in the metropolis.
Earlier in the day, the bus service was partially resumed. Metro Bus Service after repairing the Ravi Toll Plaza metro station resumed the service for passengers.
The metro station was vandalized and police had placed several containers on the metro track.
The containers have now been removed from the tack and the bus service is fully restored now.
Meanwhile, a special ceremony was held at Dera Gujjaran Depot on one-year completion of Orange Line Metro Train.
Chinese Acting Consul General in Lahore Peng Zhengwu was the chief guest while Managing Director Punjab Mass Transit Authority Mirza Naseer Inayat, General Manager (Operations) Syed Uzair Shah, representatives of Chinese contractors and other relevant officers also attended the ceremony.
A spokesperson for the Provincial Transport Department informed that so far 20 million passengers have travelled through the Orange Line Metro Train and its efficiency has been estimated about 99.9 percent while orange train completed 84993 trips and covered 11.23 million KM distance in a year.
