The Islamia University of Bahawalpur won two bronze medals in weightlifting for the first time.

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur participated in the inter-university championship in Lahore for the first time.

According to Director Sports Mr. AmjadFarooqWarraich, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is performing at the national level in all sports due to the special patronage and attention of Vice Chancellor Engr.
