Dean Institute of Public Health (IPH), Prof Dr Zarfishan Tahir has said that with a view to strengthen the educational systems in the institute, improvement in training and research programs, to get benefit from the latest developments in health sector at international level, the IPH would welcome cooperation and support of private/corporate sector.
She stated this while briefing after a meeting held between the former Governor Punjab and the Chairman Board of Management IPH Lt-Gen (r) Khalid Maqbool and the Chief Executive of a private sector organization, D-Sign, Islamabad, Zubair Ahmad Shad here at IPH on Thursday.
Director Finance D-Sign Khalid Riwan and the faculty members of the institute were also present in the meeting.
Dr Zarfishan further informed that D-Sign would also ensure arranging orientation seminars, symposiums, questions & answers sessions for Postgraduate students doctors.
and allied health professionals students of diploma classes in IPH. Senior consultants/ experts would also extend technical support for preparation of training and research modules. D-sign also bring Research Projects for IPH from private sectors.
On the occasion, Lt-Gen (r) Khalid Maqbool said that IPH is already in close contacts with international as well as national educational institutions and organizations like WHO, LUMS and UVAS for the improvement of Public Health and prevention of disease and research work.
He said that cooperation and support from private/corporate sector organization D- sign to the IPH in the field of medical education and research would be highly appreciated.
Chief executive D-sign Zubair Ahmad Shad informed that his organization is working with different public sector medical institutions in Islamabad as well as in other provinces for health sector’s development and it would be an honor for D-Sign Private, Islamabad to initiate joints programs with IPH.
