A shootout between the security forces and the terrorists in Thall area on Wednesday led to the martyrdom of an Army soldier.
According to reports unknown terrorists launched ambush on a Pak Army check post in Thall area near Hangu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that was followed by a skirmish between the miscreants and the forces. During the exchange of fire Sepoy Waqas embraced martyrdom.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the security forces responded the ambush in befitting manner as the soldier Waqas, who was 26 year old, fought valiantly and offered tough resistance before he embraced Shahadat.
However, no information about the loss on part of the terrorists, who fled from the scene, could be ascertained.
The security forces have kicked of search and clearance operation in the area after the incident to flush the militants from the region.
