Dr. Muslim Khan,Chairman, Psychiatric Department, Bacha Khan Medical College, has said that 40% of the population of Pakistan suffers with mental illness.
And the disease peaks between the ages of 15 and 40. He expressed these views while addressing a press conference at Mardan Press Club on the occasion of World Mantle Day in collaboration with Genic Pharma Karachi.
Gohar Zaman of Genix Pharma and others were also present on the occasion. Dr. Muslim Khan said that there are only 500 certified doctors for the population of 22 crore of Pakistan.
Which are very few. In our society, the mentally ill are looked down upon, which makes the patient more mentally retarded. It is important to take care of such a patient. And it needs to be taken to the doctor. We make the patient worse by using fake foot fakir.
Dr. Muslim Khan further said that the disease of depression usually starts from the age of 15 years because we expect the children that if our child will top then the pressure on the child increases and if the top or number is not high then he suffers from depression.
