In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) has called for resolving the Kashmir dispute through tripartite talks involving Pakistan, India and representatives of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
JKPL spokesman Mohammad Iqbal in a statement issued in Srinagar said that all the three parties – Pakistan, India and the people of Jammu and Kashmir – should sit together and resolve the Kashmir issue according to the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
He appealed to the world community to push for the resolution of the lingering Kashmir dispute, which is the root cause of all bloodshed in the territory.
Meanwhile, a JKPL delegation comprising Fayaz Ahmed, Khursheed Ahmed, Riyaz Ahmed and Nayeem Ahmed visited Islamabad district and condoled the demise of Qasim Sajjad, the brother-in-law of party leader Zahoor Ahmed Sheikh—KMS
