PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has suspended all political activities for two weeks after falling down on a staircase and hurting his back on September 29.
PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Shehbaz fell down from the stairs after his press conference on Wednesday.
She said that doctors advised him to take complete rest as he was feeling pain in his back. She further informed that the party president was safe from any major injury. “Doctors have advised him complete rest and physiotherapy,” she said.
Sources privy to the matter said that a party worker had held Shahbaz when he slipped to keep him from falling down, adding that the incident took place at the party secretariat 180 H Model Town, a news channel said.
Doctors ran different X-rays on him to examine his condition. Shehbaz is feeling backache after the fall. In Nov 2020, Shehbaz suffered backache during his arrest by the NAB.
The PML-N president is a cancer patient and he often consults with doctors for his medical check-up. Sometime back, the government stopped him from going abroad for his medical treatment.
This year, in the month of February, Shehbaz was shifted to hospital from Kot Lakhpat jail due to his poor health. Different medical tests were conducted on him including Positron emission tomography scan.
