Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Sirajul Haq has said the sharp rise in unemployment rate and current account deficit are two main indicators reflecting the government failure to fix the economy and resolve the problems of the people.
In a statement issued from Mansoora on Tuesday, he said the reports that the 24 percent educated youth were jobless and that the current account deficit crossed USD 2.3 billion were horrible and explained the state of economy.
Sirajul Haq said that the ministers were constantly lying and claiming all was well. They declared the prices of petroleum products and other commodities as low as compared to the prices in the world, added. The fact, he said, was that they were not aware of the ground situation.—INP
