PFPA elects core committee members

The Pakistan Film Producers Association (PFPA) elected its core committee members during General Council meeting held here.

The core committee will act as a responsible body to streamline the build-up of the film industry.

ON the occasion, Shiekh Amjad Rasheed was selected unanimously as chairman core committee.

Other members of the committee elected include: Safdar Malik (Senior Vice Chairman), Ms Momina Duraid (Vice Chairman), Madam Sangeeta (Special Seat Reserve) while executive members include Mohammad Younus, Nadeem Madiwala, Ms Parveen Sangeeta, M Akram, Tariq Mangro, Idrees A Siddique, Mohammad Khalid Iqbal and Abid Rasheed.

Film Producer Mubashir Luqman administered oath to the newly-elected members and office-bearers of the committee.

Renowned personalities of film industry including Syed Noor, Faisal Buhkari, Ijaz Kamran, Pervaiz Kaleem, Shiekh Akram, Sohail Malik, Raheel Malik, Shehzad Rafique and Shan Shahid graced the meeting with their presence.

ON the occasion, PFPA newly-elected Chairman Shiekh Amjad Rasheed expressed gratitude to the participants for reposing confidence in him, adding that he would make all-out efforts for taking the PFPA to the next level approaching to the height it deserves.

He mentioned that although the film policy has already been developed, due to busy schedule, the PM has not been able to give them time for a meeting. He also announced that new film policy will be declared on October 15, 2021.
