CM aide visits Special Education Center

Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh on Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Sindh Sadiq Ali Memon paid a surprise visit to Government Special Education and Rehabilitation Center Jungshahi Road Makli Thatta on Saturday.

During his visit, he inspected various ongoing classes and checked attendance registers of the students and muster roll as well. He was accompanied by PPP Youth Wing Thatta President Ghulam Haider Samu. Principal Nadeem Ibrahim briefed Memon that presently, 65 children with disabilities were getting education and they were being provided physiotherapy, pre-vocational training, free pick and drop, free uniforms, stationary, school bags, books and sports/ music facilities as well.

He also informed him that annual picnic was also arranged for these students with disabilities and they were also encouraged to participate in extra curriculum activities too. Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh appreciated the performance of the institution and asked them to enhance these facilities as the teachers could play a very comprehensive role in encouraging these children with disabilities to stand on their own feet and become independent in life to come.
