In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement (DPM), Khawaja Firdous, has said that India is using cheap tactics to suppress the Kashmiris’ just freedom struggle but will never succeed in its nefarious designs.
Khawaja Firdous in a statement issued in Srinagar said Indian troops have intensified the killing and arrest spree of innocent youth during the so-called cordon and search operations across the occupied territory.
He said due to the unresolved Kashmir dispute, South Asia has become a nuclear flashpoint. He said that the Kashmir conflict is also the main cause of tension between Pakistan and India.
The DPM Chairman said that India had promised in the United Nations of giving the Kashmiris their right to self-determination but now it was prolonging its illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir by military might.
He said that Pakistan has been seeking a peaceful resolution to the Kashmir dispute since day one but India’s intransigence has remained the biggest obstacle in achieving this objective.
Khawaja Firdous said despite Indian atrocities, Kashmiris are determined to take their freedom movement to its logical conclusion.—KMS
