In order to promote literary ties among the countries of the Belt & Road Initiative (BRI) a Literary Network of Belt and Road’ (LNBR) was inaugurated and a large number of the heads of the BRI countries’ literary organizations participated in the online seminar.
While taking part in the LNBR’s maiden session, head of the Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) Dr Yousuf Khushk hoped the forum would lay down the basis of many positive developments in the field of literature.
At the historical event through a video message, Dr Yousuf Khushk congratulated the President of People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping & President of China Writers Association (CWA) Tie Ning the founder of the idea of LNBR for taking the initiative and founding the LNBR.
The literary leaders from Japan, Russia, China, Egypt, Poland, UAE, Cuba, Palestine, Iran, Jordan, Nepal, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Chile, Philippines, Thailand, Morocco, Tunisia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece and many other countries joined the LNBR network and were part of the Launch of LNBR.
The CWA President Tie Ning appreciated the role of Pakistan Academy of Letters in developing literary relations with China Writers Association.
Meanwhile, the PAL has planned an online seminar on “75 Years of Urdu Literary and Linguistic Research in Pakistan” for Thursday (tomorrow) at 3:00 p.m.
