The Business Incubation Centre (BIC) of the University of Gujrat (UoG) has joined an EU-funded consortium project Erasmus+ for ‘transforming academic knowledge to develop entrepreneurial Universities in Pakistan’ (TAKE-UP).
Other partners in the consortium are Saarland University, Germany; Athens University of Business and Economics, Greece; LUMS, Lahore; COMSATS, Lahore; and Government College University, Lahore. Saarland University is the leading partner and initiator.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Shabbar Atiq signed the deal and appointed Mr Shahzada Babar, In-charge BIC, as Legal Entity Appointed Representative during a visit of the project staff, Ms Theresa Zimmer from Saarland University, last week.
Mr Babar and Dr Khalid Iqbal, Deputy Manager (R&D), ORIC, are the principal investigator and the co-principal investigator respectively.
The Erasmus+ TAKE-UP project aims at uplifting the entrepreneurial potential of Pakistani universities, especially the development of entrepreneurial skills among students.
